Does DietPillsThatWork.com Have The Best Prices?

August 3rd, 2010

Many different sites have claimed to be the best sites with the best prices, the best products, and more. They say that they only accept the best, some of them like bodybuilding.com have award systems, and they talk about giving you the best options. DietPillsThatWork.com is one of those sites. They have chosen select products that they claim will finally help you to achieve better results. With these products, they say that you will finally get far beyond any sort of norm. But the question is, does this site actually come through on all of their claims?

There are many sites out there. But DietPillsThatWork.com gives them a real run for their money. They are not as extensive as something like BodyBuilding.com. But by no means should this site be compared to something like AragonProducts. It is bigger, pickier, and of a higher value. DietPillsThatWork.com actually gives you lower prices on the same products than any of those sites! And it gives you higher quality options than these sites.

When it comes to this site, they give you a unique perspective on many different products, and they give you new prices and new options. They give you a quality money back guarantee so that you can have a real chance to try any product that you happen to choose! If you are looking for a great product, I would definitely recommend looking into it. This site stands out above others and really has potential you will not find with others.

Whole Grains For Weight Loss

September 3rd, 2009

I have to admit, whole grains have never topped my favorites list. There have been times when I have been highly encouraged to eat whole grains and even a few times when I thought I’d try them because maybe one time I would like them. While I still haven’t reached that point, there is no denying the benefits of turning to whole grains over refined ones.

Whole grains can be a lot of different things including barley, buckwheat, oatmeal,  brown rice, whole wheat or cracked wheat. You can eat them in breads, cereals or a variety of other carbs. Not only are all these things low in fat, but they also provide many nutrients that we don’t get from anything else. They’re a good source of fiber which you need for a balanced diet and to help your digestive system. (But be careful integrating fiber back into your diet. Too much at once can be a REALLY bad thing.)

Overall, whole grains are better for you than refined grains which lose most the nutrients through the refining process. I have a difficult time with this because I’ve never liked the flavor of whole grains. If you’re in the same boat as me, try seeing the benefits. This can be something to push you in the right direction. (I’m still trying to get to that point…) On top of that, whole grains tend to stick with you longer so you’re not as hungry so soon as you are with other foods.

So try replacing refined grains with whole grains. It’s better for you, even though it might take awhile to get used to the flavor.

Is Diet Soda Healthier?

September 1st, 2009

Over the years, my family has tried to do better about the way we eat. Sometimes that comes down to what soda we’re drinking. There have come times when my mom decided that we needed to drink diet soda. It makes sense, considering how much sugar is in one can or 2-liter bottle. Getting used to the taste was a little difficult, but after awhile we became accustomed to it. But now it seems that diet soda isn’t that much better for you anyway.

The main sugar-substitute used in most diet sodas is aspartame. Recently, there have been a lot of lawsuits, investigations and much discussion about aspartame. Some claim it is a poison that we are filling our bodies with. Others suggest that it is just as harmful for your body as sugar. National health agencies like WHO have even made statements recommending a limit on the amount of sugar and sugar-substitutes that we intake each day.

All I have to say about this is that there are a lot of things that are considered to be bad for us that we indulge in anyway. Sugar isn’t very good for you and apparently neither is aspartame or many other sweeteners. There are other factors to be looked at when deciding to drink regular or diet like sodium and fat content and the calories in a can.

Basically, since it’s all not that good for you anyway, a little treat now and again isn’t going to kill you. You should just avoid gorging yourself on anything that has potentially bad side-effects. It’s just a simple rule about life. Don’t over do it. But if you’re still worried about what may or may not be in your sodas, just avoid it all together. When in doubt, drink water! It’s better for you anyway.

Water for Weight Loss

August 31st, 2009

I know what you’re thinking. I’ve heard this all before. Yeah, I should drink more water. Yeah, it’s better for me. Tell me something I don’t know.

Well, do you know why it’s so important to drink water? Obviously since our bodies are 60-70% water, we need to be constantly replenishing that water. It helps for brain, heart and muscle function. Overall, it makes us healthier people. But there is another benefit.

Several studies have shown that drinking water helps for weight loss, especially for those few pounds that you just can’t get rid of. Some suggest that water helps to flush the system and so the body releases some of the water it’s been retaining in the areas of the stomach, hips, thighs and ankles. Other studies suggest that water helps to loosen the joints and helps the muscles to work better. In addition, it seems that having more water in your system helps to boost your metabolism and burn calories faster. Whatever the water does exactly, results and observeration has shown that drinking water can help with weight loss.

Adding water back into your diet can be difficult, especially for those of us who don’t drink much anyway. The times when I have had to drink a lot more water have been a little difficult on my stomach. But this isn’t so difficult when you don’t drink too much water at a time. Space the standard eight 8-oz glasses of water out throughout the day so you don’t get sick and so that your natural habits aren’t thrown off too much.

It may seem like you can get water from other drinks like coffee, tea, soda and alcohol, but the sugars, calories and fats in these beverages aren’t good for you. It’s best to just stick to water, even if you’re not a fan of the flavor. It’s good for you and you will feel a lot better and be better able to lose weight.

Easy Ways To Lose Weight

August 29th, 2009

When it’s time to make better decisions, especially when it comes to dieting, the first step is to, well, take the first step. And the challenging part is- what is the first step? It’s a daunting question. You can sit and analyze all the things that you’re doing wrong. The fact that you ate three packages of cookies, that you haven’t been to the gym in over a year or that you are addicted to caffeine. But looking at all your problems isn’t going to make things better, in fact, it’s more likely to make you feel worse and discouraged. You can’t get too worked up about everything that you’re doing wrong.

So take it one little bit at a time. What can you change today? What’s something small that can make a difference in your diet? Let me give you an example. My mom has always been a fan of sour cream and enjoys putting it in a lot of things. Of course, sour cream is very fattening and so some time ago, my mom found a fat free sour cream that she liked. (It’s called Naturally Yours.) As long as I can remember, my mom has always bought that kind. That’s the only kind I’ve ever known. It’s much better for you than regular sour cream. Does having fat free sour cream change everything for us? No. Does it mean that we have a great diet? No. What it does mean is that we’ve made one positive decision that can lead to others.

So what’s your one step going to be? Maybe you’ll try taking the stairs rather than the elevator? Maybe you’ll try to cut back on the number of Diet Cokes you drink in a day. Or maybe you’ll decide that getting 8 hours of sleep isn’t such a bad thing. Start today by making one small decision and you will be surprised how it can lead you to make more.

Lifestyle Change To Lose Weight

August 27th, 2009

Many people are convinced that if they go on a diet that they will lose weight and their lives will be great. While it’s true that if you go on a diet, follow its guidelines and keep it up, it will more than likely work for you. That’s what they’re designed to do. What makes the difference, though, is not exactly going on a “diet” but making a change in your lifestyle.

It’s great if you learn to eat the foods that the fad diets tell or send you. It’s great if you count all your points and are following the system and then you lose a bunch of weight. If you cut out sugars or empty calories, that’s great. But the point is that when you get tired of the diet, when you think, “Well, I’ve reached my optimal weight” so you slip off the diet, you’ll go off the deep-end and find yourself right back where you started. And why is that? Because you didn’t make an actual lifestyle change.

It’s more than following the rules of the actual diet you’re on. It’s deciding that you’re only going to have one treat a day. It’s deciding to have a certain number of fruits and vegetables in your meals each day. It’s deciding to cut out the empty calories and find something more wholesome. It’s finding things that you like that are better for you. When you decide to eat better, when you decide to make the change whether you’re on a ”real diet” or not, that’s when you’re able to achive your goals. Don’t just go on a diet. Change your life by making healthier decisions everyday from the foods you eat to the exercise that you get, to your overall wellness.

The Best Diet

August 26th, 2009

So you want to lose weight. Well you’re in good company. Over the past few years, estimates have shown that 70% of Americans are “dieting” in order to lose weight. Unfortunately, this is one of the most common problems that we deal with and there is no cure-all, no one program that is a guaranteed weight-loss solution for every person. The good news is that there is a lot to choose from out there.

Dieting is a tricky thing. There’s more than just “cutting out all the bad stuff” and killing yourself at the gym. Although eating a balanced diet and regular exercise are both vital, there are other contributors like stress-levels, sleep deprivation and even self-esteem that can cause how much weight you are able to lose- and gain.

If you’re thinking that you need to lose some weight, do some reading before you start. Based on your body type, there may be a type of dieting that works better for you. The carb-diet is a popular one, but not one everyone should try. Some people are suited to “eat everything you want and still lose weight” (although I would recommend that route) while others may just be able to cut back quantities and succeed.

The bottom-line is that when it comes to dieting, there’s no right way to do it. Many Americans struggle with this problen but eventually, you will be able to find a way to lose your unwanted weight. Stay tuned for further ideas about better dieting.
